This October, the Clean Energy for EU Islands Secretariat with the support of Energie Samen, the umbrella organization of the renewable energy communities in the Netherlands, and the municipality of Texel will host two online sessions for the energy transition of the Frisian and Wadden Sea islands.
During the first session (Oct 1st), the focus will be on the Dutch Wadden Sea Islands: their efforts and challenges as well as the opportunities to advance their transition to renewable energy.
The focus of the second session (Oct 15th) will broaden covering issues of relevance for the energy transition of all Frisian and Wadden Sea islands. We will talk about good practices regarding citizen engagement, municipal initiatives, and the importance of establishing partnerships for the energy transition. Furthermore we will hear more about the financing opportunities offered by NESOI, the European Islands Facility.
Both sessions will be available on the CE4EUI website afterwards. The agenda is available here.
