Airborne Wind Energy Conference 2024

Wind power

The Airborne Wind Energy Conference 2024 will be hosted by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, adding to the list of previous host cities including Chico, Stanford, Leuven, Hampton, Berlin, Delft, Freiburg, Glasgow, and Milan. This tenth edition of the conference will take place at the Campus Puerta de Toledo of the university. We are delighted to extend an invitation to international experts from both academia and industry, encouraging them to present their ideas and share the latest outcomes of their research activities over the course of the three-day conference.

The Airborne Wind Energy Conference (AWEC) was established in 2009 with the aim of bringing together prominent scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs in the emerging field of airborne wind energy. The conference serves as a platform for participants to showcase their cutting-edge findings and accomplishments through slide and poster presentations, as well as engaging in panel discussions. Since 2019, the conference has been jointly organized by the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE), Airborne Wind Europe, and Delft University of Technology.
